We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team and support the financial operations of our fast-paced, growing company.
Job Overview
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in our day-to-day accounting operations. You will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain general ledger entries for multiple hospitality entities
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly
- Assist with month-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and accruals
- Support the preparation of internal financial statements and management reports
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes as needed
- Ensure financial data is entered accurately and timely into accounting systems
- Maintain organized documentation to support financial audits and tax filings
- Collaborate with the accounting and operations teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity
- Participate in the implementation of process improvements and accounting best practices
Qualifications
- Experience with QuickBooks (online or desktop) is a must.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role, preferably in hospitality or multi-entity environments.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- CPA track or certification is a plus, but not required
