We are currently looking to fill various Electrician positions in Charlotte, NC, including Electrician and Senior Electrician. The Electrician/Senior Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures at varying levels of complexity, based on experience and in accordance with National Electric Code (NEC) and local regulations. They are also responsible for completing construction documents and maintaining high OSHA compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties in accordance with company safety rules, operating regulations, and practices, and report unsafe conditions or acts.
• Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for various purposes, including lighting, climate control, security, and communications.
• Work with blueprints when installing electrical systems in office buildings and other structures.
• Indicate on blueprints the location of circuits, outlets, load centers, panel boards, and other equipment.
• Install new electrical equipment and replace items such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches, and electronic components.
• Perform electrical testing and monitoring, and recommend improvements or repairs.
• May orient and train new workers.
• Identify and enforce client/owner procedures.
• Understand and work with fire alarm systems, DACS, and wiring for alarm devices.
• Meet with inspectors, general contractors, and owner representatives professionally.
• Lead personnel to accomplish tasks efficiently and with quality.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Basic understanding of program controllers.
• Knowledge of NEC and compliance with local building codes.
• Ability to interpret electronic device functions and perform related calculations.
• Capable of calculating sizes and installation methods for transformers.
• Knowledge of high voltage standards and cable requirements.
• Experience with hydraulic or table benders and laying out conduit systems.
• Dependent on position: Ability to manage 5-7 subordinates.

Preferred Education and Qualifications

• Strong math skills.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to transport to job sites.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Vocational background preferred.
• 3-5+ years of experience for higher-level applicants.

Senior Level & Up Qualifications

• Possession of a North Carolina State Journeyman License.
