Human Resources Generalist Job at Rozalado Services in Chicago

The Human Resources Generalist will have a strong background in employee relations. This role will require a self-starter and work with minimal supervision. Responsible for fostering a positive work environment and addressing all employee concerns. Administer employee benefits and support the management team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for all employee relations issues.
• Conflict resolution workplace concerns and disciplinary action.
• Conduct thorough investigations.
• Counsel managers and employees on company policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal and local labor laws and payroll regulations in multiple states.
• Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment process.
• Maintain employee database.
• Track open positions and oversight on recruiting efforts.
• Backup for payroll processing.
• Review human resources processes and recommend solutions for improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.

Projects

• Create and administer performance appraisals.
• 401k administration.

Notes

• On-site position to promote a positive work environment.
• Open door policy and point of contact to assist all employees.

Job Knowledge and Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
• HR certification, such as PHR, SHRM-CP, is a plus.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Human Resources.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain objective and impartial in conflict resolutions.
• In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
