The Senior Business Analyst will support critical data analytics and business intelligence functions for a leading utility provider. This hybrid role requires advanced knowledge of SQL, Power BI, and Excel, plus experience in the energy/utility sector. Candidates must be expert communicators with the ability to drive insights and present findings to leadership. Local Bay Area candidates only - onsite presence required 4-5 times per month in Oakland.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze complex data models and create customized reports
- Predict business outcomes using large and varied datasets
- Build and present metrics and KPIs to guide business strategy
- Respond to internal/external data requests and ensure timely delivery
- Design systems supporting regulatory filings and business modeling
- Lead and manage small to mid-sized data analytics projects
- 4+ years of related work in data analytics or business intelligence
- Strong project management and problem-solving background
- Experience in the utility or energy industry
- Professional experience with regulatory data modeling
- Previous work with large-scale financial or operational data sets
- Experience working in cross-functional project environments
- Advanced SQL and Excel skills
- Power BI development and dashboarding
- Communication and stakeholder presentation
- Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Project
- Familiarity with SAS, Business Objects
- What-if modeling and scenario analysis
- Metrics tracking and KPI forecasting
- Operational monitoring, persuasion, advocacy
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking ability
- Adaptability in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
