Position Summary
The Business Systems Analyst will serve as the dedicated business and systems liaison with a dual focus: deeply understanding client business practices and workflows while also analyzing and documenting the Salesforce environment that supports them. This hybrid role bridges client-facing consulting with internal systems analysis, ensuring client needs are translated into clear requirements, actionable solutions, and aligned with organizational strategy. The Analyst will report directly to Director of Operational Technologies for findings, recommendations, and approvals.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for business and systems analysis
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of client business practices, workflows, organizational goals, and key stakeholders.
- Analyze and document Salesforce environment configurations, including objects, automations, flows, validation rules, reporting, and integrations.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with client stakeholders, capture needs, pain points, and desired outcomes.
- Translate client requirements into clear user stories, process flows, and technical documentation for internal teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve client processes and recommend Salesforce or business practice enhancements.
- Ensure that all client requirements are validated, prioritized, and approved through internal governance.
- Deliver presentations and reports that summarize findings, highlight risks, and recommend solutions to leadership.
- Support testing, validation, and user acceptance of system changes or enhancements.
- Stay informed on Salesforce platform updates, best practices, and industry trends to advise on potential business impacts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3–5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or Functional Consulting.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce (Sales/Service Cloud, automations, approval processes, reporting, dashboards).
- Proven experience in client-facing roles with strong ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong skills in process documentation, workflow mapping, and requirements gathering.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility across both client and internal teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented with an ability to see the “big picture.”
Preferred:
- Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM 201) or higher.
- Consulting or client implementation experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
- Experience with process modeling and diagramming tools (Lucidchart, Visio, Miro).
- Familiarity with data migration, reporting strategies, or third-party system integrations.
