Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Support Technician to join our IT team. This role will be responsible for delivering advanced technical support across hardware, software, networking, and security, while ensuring reliable IT services for end users. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, networking knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, this role will provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians and support cross-functional IT initiatives.
*This role is full-time on site in Lancaster, CA - no remote or hybrid work options available*
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for complex hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Manage and maintain critical IT systems including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Online, Azure AD, and Intune MDM.
- Support and administer Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Purview, etc.) to ensure business continuity.
- Deploy, configure, and monitor endpoint protection platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike Falcon, EDR/XDR) to detect and respond to threats.
- Oversee daily IT infrastructure operations including servers, storage, firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers, and networking equipment.
- Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VLANs, wireless networks, and network security appliances to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Perform routine network monitoring, capacity planning, and implement upgrades to improve reliability and scalability.
- Utilize IT Ticketing system for service workflows, ticketing, and knowledge base documentation.
- Lead or support IT projects such as system migrations, process automation, and IT asset management implementation.
- Mentor junior IT staff and contribute to developing best practices within the IT support function.
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3-5 years of IT support or systems administration experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership capacity.
- Strong expertise with Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure AD, Exchange (Online & On-Prem), and Microsoft Intune.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and security tools.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, switching, wireless).
- Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network monitoring tools.
- Understanding of endpoint security (EDR/XDR), vulnerability management, and identity and access management.
- Familiarity with IT service management tools such as Zoho Service Management and asset tracking systems like Snipe-IT.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar) are a plus.
Work Environment:
- On-site in Lancaster, CA
- Travel frequency: 25%
- Combination of office and production-floor support.
- Must occasionally lift and move IT equipment (up to 40 lbs.).
Pay Range:
$69,000-$86,000
