Senior Occupancy Planner role on a 6 Month Contract To Hire basis. Hybrid work arrangement: 3x per week in North Chicago. Pay: $50-60/hr. This job involves providing strategic occupancy planning expertise to develop scenario and occupancy plans for the clients portfolio in a designated region. Responsibilities
Foster critical relationships between Corporate Real Estate, Business Unit leadership, Corporate Finance, project management, move coordination and facility management teams, and other occupancy planning team members to review and resolve planning forecast requirements, headcount forecasts, top-down projections, move plans, and portfolio strategy development. Manage the development of occupancy plans, sequence group-level and individual moves, resolve planning issues identified during client planning sessions, and ensure alignment with corporate guidelines. Model, educate, and enforce space policies, notify clients of requested exceptions, and assist in developing site-specific Planning Strategies with Senior Leadership. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in the clients workplace program and use data to drive solutions that increase productivity. Demonstrate leadership in the Occupancy Planning and account team, with strong client relationship management and strategic thinking. Prepare and present space utilization data and reports, identify space requirements, and update project status reports on actual versus projected seat demand at the building level. Reconcile discrepancies between top-down projections and client data as needed. What you will need
Proactive and able to work independently, multi-task, and manage time to meet deadlines. Proactive and innovative in developing solutions with stakeholders and driving implementation. Tech-savvy with advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, cell calculations) and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience consolidating data and floor plans into PowerPoint presentations. Experience with CAFM/IWMS software is highly valuable. Excellent written and spoken communication skills with the ability to interact with executive-level clients. Ability to work as part of a diverse, supportive, and talented team. Thinking strategically, willingness to adapt to change, and a strong appetite for learning and meeting deadlines. Qualifications
Ability to lead through influence Expert-level data analytical skills with the ability to articulate stories through data Attention to detail and accuracy particularly with numbers and spatial planning Highly organized with demonstrated performance in project budgeting and scheduling Working knowledge of occupancy utilization, office design principles and trends (e.g., mobile or collaborative workplaces) is preferred Bachelors Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Design, Construction Management, or related field is preferred Seniority level
