What We Value: Compassion Empathy Teamwork Quality Ethics Respect Service Excellence Innovation Job Summary: The Interventional Radiologic Technologist is an experienced, fully competent technologist with specialized training and knowledge of interventional radiology procedures directly related to the Interventional Radiology Service Line. Responsible for assisting physicians with highly specialized and complex interventional and therapeutic radiologic procedures including but not limited to: angiograms with angioplasty, stenting, thrombolysis; biliary tract obstruction/cancer management; biopsy; chemoembolization and radioembolization; dialysis access and management of AV fistula and grafts; DVT/PE treatment (thrombectomy, thrombolysis); embolization (uterine fibroid embolization, varicocele, prostate, pelvic congestion syndrome); IVC Filter placement and removal; Transjugular intrahepatic portosystematic shunt (TIPS) procedure for treatment of ascites and variceal bleeding; treatment of aneurysms and pseudoaneurysms; urinary tract obstruction/stone management (nephrostomy tubes and nephroureteral stents); vascular access (port-a-cath, PICC, and long-term venous catheter placement); vertebral augmentation for compression fractures (kyphoplasty, vertebroplasty). A member of the direct patient care team, actively participates and scrubs into interventional radiology cases to assist with the movement and alignment of equipment as well as the control of radiation throughout procedures. Works independently exercising sound judgment and executing above average clinical skills on challenging diagnostic procedures and patient care situations. Delivers exceptional patient care and adheres to radiation standards and guidelines established by radiology agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service. This job requires availability to be on call. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited educational program in Radiologic Technology. Three years of experience in Interventional Radiology (Special Procedures) or Cath Lab preferred. Experience with scrubbing preferred. Ability to participate in on-call schedule on a regular basis for interventional procedures. Licensure Requirements: Current Nevada Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
