Responsible for providing an advanced clinical level of quality patient care while producing radiologic images used for patient diagnosis and treatment. The responsibilities include completing x-rays effectively and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient care to provide an exceptional patient experience. Qualifications Education: Associate's degree in Diagnostic Imaging required Licenses and Credentials: Radiologic Technologist [MA License] required; Registered Technologist [ARRT-R] preferred; Basic Life Support [BLS] preferred Experience: Radiologic Technologist experience with multiple patient populations 2-3 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Good communication, problem-solving, ability to work independently, ability to guide, teach, and motivate others, good business acumen
Responsibilities
Determines appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patient condition to obtain quality images for radiologists; may provide an advanced clinical level of patient care Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures, including transporting, transferring, immobilizing, and positioning Explains procedures to patients considering physical and emotional needs Records digital images as directed for radiologist interpretation Maintains pertinent records Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards May assist Radiology Technologist students and new staff in performing radiologic exams, sterile technique, and stocking of supplies
