Cloud Engineer
Insight Global is looking to hire a Cloud Engineer in the Reston, VA area. This individual will join a team that is responsible for supporting and enhancing secure cloud environments across two Azure instances (IL2 and IL5). This role involves managing Azure landing zones, implementing hybrid cloud architecture, and optimizing network entry points to the cloud. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical foundations in Azure, Terraform, scripting, and cloud security, and be ready to contribute from day one. Compensation: $60.90/hr to $64.90/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Skills and Requirements: Active TS/SCI security clearance Associate's or Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience deploying and maintaining Azure environments/resources (degree can be substituted with two additional years of experience) Hands-on experience with Azure architecting tools and building architecture diagrams Experience with various Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and databases Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code Proficiency in developing and running PowerShell scripts within Azure Experience using Linux operating systems and Bash scripting Strong understanding of Azure landing zones and managing authorized instances Knowledge of Azure networking concepts, including virtual networks, subnets, and network security groups Ability to work in an Agile, team-based environment using tools like Jira and Confluence DoD 8570 Compliant Security+ or CISSP Certification AWS experience Azure Engineering or Architecting Certification Experience interfacing with Cloud Security Service Provider (CSSP) Experience managing a multi-tenant cloud environment across multiple DOD networks Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes To learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy.
