Warehouse Coordinator
The Warehouse Coordinator oversees daily warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, timely order fulfillment, and compliance with government and industry standards. This hands-on role involves coordinating domestic and international shipments, enforcing ISO and lean practices, and collaborating across departments to support production and logistics goals. Key Responsibilities
Coordinate domestic and international shipments in compliance with export/import regulations Interpret work instructions, shipping documentation, and government guidelines Maintain inventory records using ERP systems (Deltek CostPoint) Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely Enforce ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards Support lean initiatives to improve workflow and reduce waste Prepare government shipment documentation (DD250 forms, labels, compliance paperwork) Conduct cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation Collaborate with procurement, production, and quality teams Run inventory/shipping reports and provide daily updates Lead warehouse meetings to align priorities and resolve issues Train and mentor junior Material Handlers Operate production tools and equipment safely Work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor Preferred Skills
Forklift certification and equipment handling experience Knowledge of fiber optic components and handling procedures Experience with DLA, DoD, or other government agencies APICS, Six Sigma, or Lean certification Skills and Competencies
Strong oral and written communication Exceptional attention to detail and organization Effective planning and time management Team-oriented collaboration Commitment to lean principles and continuous improvement Deadline-driven mindset Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems Leadership and mentoring capabilities Education and Experience
Minimum 3 years of material handling experience; Associate's degree preferred Experience with government contract fulfillment and compliance documentation Hands-on experience with Deltek CostPoint Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards Experience in DoD contracting environments (CAV, GFM/GFE) Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices Electric forklift and picker operation experience preferred DoD shipping experience (WAWF) preferred Experience with FedEx and UPS platforms International and hazmat shipping experience a plus Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday Safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs individually (more with assistance) Manual dexterity for tools and equipment Tolerance for varying warehouse temperatures and noise levels Visual acuity for reading labels and screens Ability to wear PPE as required Benefits
