Reporting into the Director of Strategic Growth and working in close collaboration with the VP of Construction and project team for LG Builders, the Business Development Manager is identifying, sourcing and nurturing new business opportunities for LG Builders. This role will generate high-quality leads that convert to bid invitations and negotiated project opportunities. The ideal candidate must have experience identifying and building new client relationships with developers, owners, architects, brokers, and other key market influencers in commercial real estate and construction. Attend trade shows, industry events and other associations meetings to stay informed on market conditions and establish relationships with existing clients and prospects Help develop, manage and execute sales strategies in our target sectors and project types Identify and initiate contact with potential clients and strategic partners via follow-up calls and emails from qualified leads, web leads, assigned leads, and industry contacts Qualify opportunities by nurturing leads through the sales process and tracking relevant sales activities in the CRM pipeline Provide regular updates to LG Builders management on progress of lead qualification and set appropriate meetings for executives to close the sales cycle Sales Operation & Administration
Own the maintenance and integrity of the CRM system by ensuring proper use by the salesforce Track sales pipeline health, monitor deal progression, and support leadership with accurate forecasting reports Build reporting and provide insights on conversion rates, win/loss ratios, and other KPIs Analyze data and assist leadership with identifying lessons learned for winning repeat business and referrals Research and identify sales tools in AI and automation that can assist the salesforce with improving efficiency Client Relationship Management
Build brand visibility and ensure LG has a strong presence at all industry networking events; assist leadership in prioritizing the highest and best use of our networking initiatives Prepare and present periodic reviews of target accounts and key client relationships to ensure alignment across the salesforce and leadership teams Work cross-functionally as a strategic liaison between marketing, project management and executive leadership throughout the sales cycle Support leadership with all sales activities and client relationship management by communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders Qualifications for Success
Proven network of strong relationships in commercial real estate and construction Industry leaders who sit on boards, committees and/or volunteer for relevant professional groups Proficiency in presentation skills, analyzing data to provide recommended sales strategies, and critical thinking Minimum of undergraduate degree coupled with life and work experiences resulting in a story worth telling Minimum of 5 years of experience serving in relationship-driven roles Strong technical and communication skills CRM knowledge required and HubSpot experience preferred Must be energetic and self-motivated with outstanding initiative Extensive experience building relationships and understanding a client's needs is essential
