Civil Engineering Internship

Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a paid engineering internship in our Green Cove Springs or St. Augustine, FL office. This on-the-job experience will support the firms water resource group with the design and construction of a variety of facilities and offer the opportunity to work directly with our firm clients. A variety of responsibilities and duties will provide a well-rounded background in engineering. Assisting senior engineers with the evaluation, study and design of stormwater systems. Work on a variety of projects including municipal and county, to complete roadway, stormwater, underground utility, and infrastructure improvements. Field work, studies and design of stormwater retrofit systems in response to future sea level rise. Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling computation and analysis. Work independently on a variety of tasks including CAD, Drainage Design, Quantity Computation, Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Systems Design, and Data Collection Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering Maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0 Available to start May 2026. Ability to travel throughout Palm Beach County and Broward County areas (own transportation). Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of projects. Strong verbal, computer, organizational, and writing skills. The hourly pay for this role is $23.00. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
