Job Duties Performs radiographic procedures in the Procedure Center and also the Main Department with a high degree of image quality. Assists with orientation of new staff and students. Keeps area supplied and clean. Releases CD's and other items per policy to patients. Performs office responsibilities when required. Participates in in-services. Monitors vital signs as necessary. Performs HIS, RIS and PACS functions as necessary. Maintains equipment to decrease downtime and overtime expense. Participates in performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives. Supervision includes technologists in orientation and radiology students. FLOAT JOB DUTIES; Travel to various locations as assigned. Utilize appropriate transfer codes for timekeeping to charge time to correct departments. Be flexible and willing to travel to different locations, as well as possibly multiple locations in one day. Stay competent in all the departments of responsibility. Education/Experience Didactic course work and alternative eligibility as specified in the ARRT applications for certification instructions. Licensed by the applicable State Department of Health as a Radiologic Technologist, certified by the ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist, and maintain annual renewal/registration with the certifying organization. If registry eligible by the ARRT, employee must be certified within 6 months of hire to avoid termination. License renewal must occur within 2 weeks of expiration date. Revocation or inability to maintain licensure and/or registration may result in termination.
