Position Overview
We seek a Senior Angular/Node.js Full Stack Developer to join our development team supporting a Maryland government agency. This Computer Programmer (Senior) role requires utilizing Information Technology (IT) equipment and current programming languages to develop comprehensive solutions for business, management, communications, and strategic challenges. The successful candidate will design detailed programs, flowcharts, and diagrams showing mathematical computations and sequence of machine operations necessary to process data and generate results. This position demands verification of program accuracy and completeness through testing with representative data and system processing cycles. Key Responsibilities
Work cross-functionally and collaboratively to develop applications using open-source technologies Create single-page applications using HTML5, Angular, Node.js, and Java based on documented user stories with acceptance criteria Troubleshoot issues and create code fixes for open-source products Address defects and collaborate with functional and technical teams to integrate applications in cloud environments Work in a fast-paced, agile environment with cross-functional teams Design and implement systems from web-based user interface front-end through back-end architecture Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or related scientific or technical discipline Master's degree preferred Three years of equivalent experience in a related field may substitute for degree requirement General Experience
Minimum eight years of programming experience in software development or maintenance Strong experience with full-stack development, including understanding of User Interface (UI) frameworks and back-end architecture interactions Minimum eight years of experience with Angular JavaScript frameworks and technologies Five years of experience with Node.js Loopback and JavaScript/TypeScript Strong experience developing RESTful web services using Node.js Experience with Angular versions 2, 4, and 6 Experience with agile development methodologies Experience with issue resolution skills within open-source products Experience with troubleshooting and improving performance of single-page applications using Angular Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud-based development Specialized Experience
Minimum five years of experience in IT systems analysis and programming Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with Maryland Department of Human Services (MD DHS) Provider application Work Environment
On-site work required in Linthicum, Maryland Some telework may be permitted (arrangement to be determined) Collaborative agile development environment Cross-functional team structure
