Overview
Senior Director of Development and Individual Giving (Senior Director) to lead and expand Einsteins major gifts program. This role carries a portfolio of alumni and friends with capacity to make six- and seven-figure gifts, focused on identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. The ideal candidate will bring a creative and strategic approach to donor engagement and solicitation in an entrepreneurial and collaborative environment, and will engage with alumni, donors, parents, and other constituencies to strengthen connections with the institution. The Senior Director will work closely with internal partnersfaculty, leadership, and advancement colleaguesas well as external stakeholders, including alumni, donors, and volunteers. The role includes frontline fundraising and program strategy to drive long-term engagement and investment.
Responsibilities
Lead and expand Einsteins major gifts program; identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward six- and seven-figure gifts. Develop donor engagement and solicitation strategies in an entrepreneurial and collaborative environment. Engage alumni, donors, parents, and non-alumni constituencies to strengthen connections with the institution. Collaborate with internal partners (faculty, leadership, and advancement) and external stakeholders. Manage frontline fundraising and program strategy; provide top-level support and portfolio strategy for senior leadership. Serve as a key member of Einsteins senior leadership team and participate in leadership activities related to development and donor relations. Report to the Vice President of Development, and work with a designated frontline fundraiser as part of a broader team. Qualifications
Creative, strategic, and collaborative approach to donor engagement and solicitation. Proven ability to engage and partner with alumni and other constituencies; strong relationship-building skills. Experience working with executive, academic, and scientific leadership to advance fundraising goals. Experience in portfolio management, donor stewardship, and leading cross-functional teams. The role is part of Einsteins senior leadership team, which includes the Vice President of Development & Alumni Relations, Assistant Vice President of Development & Alumni Relations, and Assistant Vice President of Donor Outreach, Communications, & Alumni Relations.
