Program Assistant (Credentialing) role at CalOptima Health. The Program Assistant (Credentialing) will assist the department leadership and Credentialing staff in executing all responsibilities related to credentialing and provide administrative support to the Credentialing area. The incumbent will support and interact with other departments, external stakeholders and CalOptima Health's general office system. Position Information Department: Quality Improvement Salary Grade: 302 $49,754 $69,655 ($23.92 $33.4880) Work Arrangement: Partial Telework (This position is eligible for telework in California.) Duties & Responsibilities

Program Support (95%) Participates in a mission?driven culture of high?quality performance, with a member focus on customer service, consistency, dignity and accountability. Assists the team in carrying out department responsibilities and collaborates with others to support short? and long?term goals/priorities for the department. Monitors incoming and outgoing emails related to credentialing activities, including receipt of credentialing and re?credentialing applications. Runs reports to ensure that licenses, certificates and insurance are current. Conducts data entry in the credentialing system to update provider credentialing information, such as credentialing renewal dates. Generates appropriate written correspondence to providers, members, credentialing delegates and internal staff to address general inquiries regarding credentialing. Sends provider communications regarding expired provider licenses, certificates and/or insurance. Processes termination requests as needed. Prepares credentialing reports such as the Monthly Record Closures. Supports and coordinates department projects for the credentialing team as needed. Other Completes other projects and duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent plus 1 year of experience in a program support role; equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with entry level credentialing. Experience in health care administration. Required Licensure / Certifications

Utilize computer and appropriate software (e.g., Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and job specific applications/systems to produce correspondence, charts, spreadsheets, and/or other information applicable to the position. Physical Requirements (With Or Without Accommodations)

Ability to visually read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials. Ability to speak clearly in conversation and general communication. Hearing ability for verbal communication via telephone and face?to?face interactions. Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting. Lifting and moving objects, patients and/or equipment 10 to 25 pounds. Work Environment
