Overview
Norwood Medical, a leading medical components manufacturer, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting & Finance Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you'll manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and drive process improvements within our current accounting system. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting principles and is proficient in Microsoft Excel for creating and analyzing financial reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.
- Generate detailed reports using Excel, including aging reports, reconciliations, and expense analysis.
- Facilitate process improvements within AP/AR functions.
- Collaborate with departments to resolve invoicing issues and discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in an Accounting & Finance role.
- Experience managing process improvement projects surrounding Norwood’s current AR/AP module.
- Demonstrated expertise in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functions to generate reports.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
