Technical Expert
for a
future funded role
with SME expertise to provide Tier 4 Lustre support to the HPC team. Position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. US citizenship is required. Responsibilities
Provide Tier 4 Lustre storage support and advanced troubleshooting for HPC environments. Assist with configuration, tuning, testing, and administration related to storage for virtualization products (e.g., VMWare, Xen) and Solaris containers. Support cloud-based storage implementations (e.g., Hadoop) and related file services connectivity (RedHat, Suse, Solaris). Offer storage architecture expertise and contribute to multi-vendor storage environments (GPFS, Lustre, NAS/SAN, SSDs, NFS/CIFS). Install, configure, tune, troubleshoot, and administer storage-related systems and components (e.g., FC SAN, Brocade switches, enterprise storage arrays, deduplication products, cloud storage solutions). Utilize trouble ticketing tools (e.g., Remedy) to manage issues and ensure timely resolution. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and ten (10) years of experience in a large and complex IT environment, or fifteen (15) years of experience in lieu of degree. Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph; US citizenship required. Experience with storage configuration, tuning, testing, and advanced troubleshooting for virtualization platforms (VMWare, Xen) and cloud-based implementations (Hadoop). Experience with RedHat, Suse, and Solaris operating systems as they relate to file services and FC connectivity. Demonstrated experience as a storage architect and with multi-vendor clustered file systems (GPFS, Lustre). Knowledge of network/storage components such as SGI IRIX, SGI systems with FC storage, NFS/CIFS appliances, SSDs, and related storage technologies. Experience with data management products (Data Domain, deduplication) and cloud storage solutions (Hadoop, IBM BigInsights). Experience with enterprise storage networking (e.g., Brocade FC switches) and ticket management (Remedy). Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this position is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation considers factors such as contracted rates, education, certifications, experience, required competencies, and geographic location.
