Pet Care Attendant - Lacy, WA

Are you looking for your first job or a second job with flexible hours? Join Hawks Prairie Veterinary Hospital as a part-time Kennel Staff member! This position is perfect for someone who loves animals and wants to gain experience in a pet-care environment. You'll be helping to ensure a clean and safe space for our furry guests while interacting with pets and their owners during our evening/closing shift. Key Responsibilities: Care for and supervise animals, including feeding, walking, and providing companionship. Clean and sanitize animal areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Assist with animal check-ins and check-outs. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners. Lift and manage supplies, equipment, and pets as needed (must be able to easily lift up to 50 pounds). Ensure the kennel is ready for closing at the end of the shift. Qualifications: Must be 18 years or older. Must be able to easily lift up to 50 pounds. No prior experience required – ideal for someone looking for their first job or a second job. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and customer service skills . Physical ability to handle and care for animals . Flexibility in shift hours – the closing shift is typically from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM, but may change based on business needs. Reliable, punctual, and passionate about animal welfare.
