Overview

We are hiring immediately for full time BARISTA positions. Location: Texas Children's Hospital West Campus - 18200 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77094. Note: online applications accepted only. Schedule: Full time; days and hours may vary. Shifts include mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Pay Range: $15.50 per hour to $18.00 per hour.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
• Enters orders accurately into POS; accepts cash and credit/debit payments.
• Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of the service area.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and temperature of served items; follows HACCP standards.
• Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils.
• Ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following production standards.
• Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
• Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments.
• Greets customers courteously and interacts to ensure customer satisfaction; relays relevant concerns to supervisors.
• Serves customers quickly and efficiently, and prevents delays in serving lines.
• Explains daily menu items accurately and demonstrates understanding of offerings.
• Assists in up-selling by communicating with customers to support buying decisions.
• Ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards and served neatly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
