Title: Social Worker-Part time

Program: 820 Residential Services

Salary/Hours: $49.25-$52.20/hr Up to 20 hours/week

Program Overview

The Program is an OASAS Part-820 Residential Stabilization and Rehabilitation program. Consumers receive services adequate to their corresponding level of care through a trauma-informed, person-centered and harm-reduction lens. Consumers also receive primary care and psychiatric services from a program psychiatrist and medical providers. This is a p/t position with a flexible schedule that can include some remote work.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist clients identify and process their feelings and behaviors.
• Teach, build and practice healthy coping skills
• Facilitate behavior change through counseling clients on concerns, such as unsatisfactory family, romantic and peer relationships, divorce and separation, child rearing, parenting, homelessness and financial difficulties.
• Encourage individuals and family members to develop and use skills and strategies for confronting their problems in a constructive manner
• Teach life skills or strategies to clients and/or their families.
• Maintain electronic documentation that include activities, progress notes, evaluations, and recommendations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing family relationship
• problems, destructive patterns of behavior, and other personal issues.
• Confer with clients to discuss treatment plans or progress.and treatment planning.
  
  

Qualifications

• License to practice in New York State: LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LMFT or similar licensure Required;
• Knowledge of substance/homeless population and of behavior change approaches to treatment
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Empathetic clinician who adopts a person-centered, harm reduction model
• Computer literacy.
• Bilingual a plus.
