About The Position
Gastroenterology Locums Physician - South Carolina
Inpatient-only Gastroenterology coverage near Florence, South Carolina; no ERCP or clinic responsibilities.
Highlights
- Block scheduling; pick 1-2 weeks/month
- APP support Monday-Friday
- No ERCP or moderate sedation required
- Summer and fall dates still open through 2025
Practice Setting
- Inpatient-only at a regional hospital
- APP assists with rounds and consults weekdays
- Weekend procedures performed in OR if needed
- No clinic, elective, or outpatient volume
Schedule
- 24-hour call during assignment
- 8-10 hours/day for rounding, consults, and procedures
- Weekends are lighter volume
- Blocks through late 2025 still open
Cases and Procedures
- Focus on inpatient GI scopes and emergent procedures
- 15-20 new consults daily
- No ERCP required
Requirements
- Board Certified or Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Active South Carolina license (or willing to obtain)
- BLS and DEA required
Travel Accommodations
- All travel costs covered: airfare, rental car, lodging, and mileage
