Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency program
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the State of Texas
- Current DEA registration; DEA-X waiver strongly preferred
- Experience in crisis psychiatry or acute behavioral health settings
- Proficiency with telehealth technology and electronic health records (EHRs)
- Availability for evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Strong clinical judgment, decision-making, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Perform remote psychiatric evaluations for adult patients in crisis
- Initiate and manage medication treatment plans
- Respond to consultation requests within 15 minutes during active shifts
- Collaborate with on-site clinicians to ensure coordinated care and patient stabilization
- Accurately document all encounters in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Maintain compliance with all HIPAA, state, and federal guidelines
