Position Overview

The Group Director, Digital Partnerships oversees the Partnerships strategy and go-to-market approach and team for all pure-play digital channels. The Group Director should be well-versed in all digital channels and able to articulate the role of each channel and how they bring a client\'s strategy to life and meet client business objectives. Using extensive digital landscape knowledge, past campaign performance, and research, the Director should justify investment recommendations.

Responsibilities

Direct communication with clients for all marketplace intelligence, negotiation and partnership needs and take ultimate accountability for the team\'s day-to-day responsibilities

Collaborate with Strategy, Analytics and Client Advice teams to ensure alignment with and delivery against client KPI\'s

Oversee investment plan development, recommendation and implementation, incorporating necessary rationale and research for client buy-in

Oversee the development of go-to-market strategy, recommendations and POVs

Develop staff through performance management and consistent feedback, helping them work toward professional goals

Maintain and grow key marketplace relationships, including senior-level media owner and technology platform contacts

Identify and present new and emerging partners and opportunities in the marketplace

Assist and facilitate all Initiative and IPG MB new business, revenue and industry initiatives; facilitate organic growth opportunities with current clients

Required Skills and Experience

Proven ability to interpret and analyze data to inform go-to-market strategies; strong ability to translate data into well-articulated ideas

Strong marketplace relationships with senior salespeople at major media companies

Creative approach to defining deal terms including pricing models and value based on client objectives

Proven track record with client relations and growing existing business

Knowledge of buying, planning, client presentation and reporting

Technical proficiency, particularly with media systems and MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Mediabrands does not require candidates to have a college degree

Desired Skills and Experience

10+ years of buying network, cable and syndication with Initiative or another Media company or experience within the Media Industry - 6+ years successful management of staff

Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

High level of comfort presenting to clients and internal team members

Solid understanding of marketing/communications process and the role of media partnerships in it

Ability to work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure

Detailed awareness of client business issues, industry trends, consumer trends, promotional resources, market status, and competition

Solid understanding of research tools

The salary range for this position is posted below. The actual range paid will depend on factors including market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure, and the candidate\'s skill set and qualifications.

Salary Range: $180,000 — $200,000 USD
