Flagship Store Manager – Drive Sales, Build Community, Represent the Brand This high-impact leadership role places you at the center of Chemical Guys’ retail innovation and customer experience. As the Flagship Store Manager, you’ll lead your store team in delivering world-class service, hitting key sales metrics, executing strategic events, and amplifying our brand across both in-store and digital platforms. You’ll be both the operational anchor and the public face of our HQ store — where retail excellence, community connection, and content creation intersect. It’s where customers meet the brand in real life and online. As the leader of this space, you set the tone for what “best in class” means - in customer service, team development, event execution, and community engagement. Key Responsibilities & Competencies
Retail Sales Leadership and Accountability Own the store’s business performance driving revenue, Average Transaction Value, UPT, shrink reduction and labor efficiency. Use daily reporting to identify opportunities, adjust training plans and inspire team to exceed sales goals. Maintain visibility on daily, weekly and monthly trends; proactively addressing underperformance with coaching and solutions. Lead daily store operations; opening & closing procedures, cash handling, safety, inventory adjustments and store cleanliness. Manage inventory, stock levels and product presentations to drive sell-through and customer satisfaction. Team Leadership & Development Recruit, onboard, schedule, coach and inspire a high-performing, customer-obsessed store team. Set clear expectations, give frequent feedback, and cultivate a culture of ownership and accountability at all levels. Create development plans for team members to grow product knowledge, sales acumen and leadership mindset. Salesmanship & Customer Engagement Champion persuasive, educational selling and model consultative interactions that turn first-time visitors into loyal customers. Resolve customer concerns with confidence and empathy, ensuring every visit ends with customer satisfaction. Event Execution and Community Activation Strategically plan and lead in-store, parking lot, and off-site selling events that boost sales, expand reach and deepen community ties. Partner with local businesses and enthusiasts to co-host workshops and car care tech sessions that drive traffic and build loyalty. Coordinate event logistics from concept to execution, including team assignments and post-event analysis. Training & Product Mastery Become train-the-trainer certified to lead 4-day workshops and monthly in-store sessions with authority. Instill a culture of product obsession ensuring every team member can demo, educate and upsell with competence and confidence. On Camera Leadership & Social Media Activation Represent the store and brand on social platforms; filing demos, tutorials, product dops, upcoming events and behind-the-scenes content. Partner with HQ marketing to turn content views into foot traffic and sales. Internal Collaboration & Feedback Interface professionally with HQ stakeholders; maintain discretion with sensitive information. Location: Chemical Guys HQ Store - onsite Compensation Range: $68,640.00 - $80k Note: While the title of this role is “Store Director” to reflect the scope of leadership and customer experience expectations, the position is classified at the Manager level within our internal job banding structure. Qualifications & Skills
3+ years in specialty or high-touch retail management with strong sales results. Demonstrated salesmanship - motivating and coaching teams to exceed targets. Strong KPI acumen – understands how to drive and manage sales, labor, shrink and productivity. Skilled communicator, comfortable managing cross-functional relationships and confidential information. Proven success planning and executing retail events that generate sales and build brand love. Natural teacher and skilled at facilitating training, coaching, and workshops. Product-focused with a deep passion for learning and sharing knowledge. Confident on-camera presence with proven success growing or engaging social audiences. Automotive interest is a bonus, but passion for customer experience is a must.
