Job Description: This role is based in the Roanoke, Virginia area PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Learning & Development (L&D) Lead Facilitator is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating impactful learning programs that align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and professional development needs. The Lead Facilitator will collaborate with business leaders, subject matter experts, and team members to ensure learning initiatives foster a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and organizational performance. The Learning and Development Lead Facilitator will also function as a back-up and mentor for fellow Learning and Development team members. This position will predominately work in the Western Region. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of and experience with ISD principles and methodology including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning programs

Proactively identifies learning needs through conducted needs assessments

Provides learnings recommendations and performance solutions to address performance gaps

Leverages appropriate resources and tools to design, develop and deliver superior learning solutions

Evaluates the transfer of classroom training to the job (department impact/individual performance impact) of promotions, courses, special projects, curriculums and implements changes and enhancements as needed (Level 3 evaluation)

Ensures the success and effectiveness of training programs through the establishment of metrics, assessments, tracking and reporting

Evaluates training effectiveness using metrics, participant feedback, and business outcomes

Implements changes and enhancements to learning resources as identified by evaluations, clients or received feedback

Creates and maintains key partnerships/relationships across all areas and levels of VACU

Designs, develops, and delivers interactive learning solutions around the following:

New hire orientation

Operations/systems training

All products and services

Lending processes and guidelines

Business Services processes and guidelines

Sales

Refresher or reoccurring training

Corporate project initiatives

Demonstrates advanced proficiency in presentation and facilitation skills

Aims to introduce non-traditional approaches to learning and development, including the latest in digital learning methodologies

Effectively manages multiple projects simultaneously

Manages behavioral issues during training

Performs tasks using the learning management system

Prepares learning management system reports Assists in creating new employee profiles in the training database Schedule participants for classes Uses advanced software applications (i.e., Articulate StoryLine, etc.) to develop eLearning modules

Serves as a lead or back-up for all training

Maintains an

in-depth level

of knowledge in the use of the following PC programs/software:

Microsoft 365

Internet/Intranet

Affinity Edge

Temenos

Workday

Webxtender

Member 360

Plays an integral role in the success of meeting the department goals

Complies with all published enterprise level policies and procedures including, but not limited to, Risk Management policies

Completes all required, ongoing enterprise level training including, but not limited to BSA, OFAC, and Information Security

Reports all Risk Management Policy violations in accordance with policy

Performs general administrative duties

Communicates special learning events and/or external learning opportunities

Setting up and breaking down the training rooms

Schedules training equipment requests

Schedules the various training facilities

Other duties may be required and assigned by the supervisor/manager

Lead Responsibilities : Demonstrates being an exemplary role model

Fosters a learning culture throughout the Learning and Development team by participating in and encouraging knowledge sharing, engagement, and empowerment

Identifies skills and knowledge gaps within Learning & Development team members

Designs and implements a developmental plan for Learning and Development employees with the assistance of the Learning and Development Manager

Provides feedback and assistance to the Learning and Development Manager for VACU's performance management process and monthly one-on-ones

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge: In-depth understanding of techniques and philosophies of adult learning

Comprehensive knowledge of financial institution functions, philosophy, products, services, and delivery channels

Required in-depth knowledge of branches, contact center, support services, and resolution operations, policies, and procedures

Preferred in-depth knowledge of lending operations, policies, procedures, and supplemental lending products and services

Preferred in-depth knowledge of VACU's sales philosophy and practices

Skills: Strong PC skills to include proficiency in Microsoft 365

Excellent communication, both written, oral, and presentation skills

Experience with the design and delivery of training materials and/or courses covering a wide array of sales, operational and employee development topics

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret learning data and business impact

Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills

Works independently and interdependently

Works effectively with all levels of employees and exercises good business judgment

Demonstrates effective leadership within team and organization

Ability to serve as a mentor to others

Abilities: Demonstrates a high level of creativity, innovation, and drive for improvement

Demonstrates proficiency in conducting training courses covering a wide array of operational and employee development topics

Travel between the East and West regions and all branches as needed

Minimum Education and Experience: Prefer a four-year college degree in Adult Education, Human Services, Human Resources or Business. Must have at least five years experiencewith formal classroomtraining. Previous experience with financial institution operations is required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This job requires sitting and standing for long periods of time. This job also requires infrequent lifting or carrying objects up to 10 pounds. #J-18808-Ljbffr
