The AUKUS, Submarines, and Industrial Base Group (ASIG), within the Sea, Land, Air Division, provides timely, objective, analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to NAVSEA Team Submarine program offices and key stakeholders surrounding submarine platform construction. Team Submarine unifies submarine platform procurement activities, including the Columbia-class SSBN program (a Major Defense Acquisition Program and the Navys top acquisition priority), the Virginia-class SSN program and the new SSN-X program. The team supports oversight of submarine construction and helps plan and execute strategies to strengthen the submarine shipbuilding industrial base. These are high-profile, major acquisition and manufacturing programs of significant importance to the future capabilities of the US Navy. ASIG has an immediate need for a Systems Engineer for Digital Modernization support; this role is located on-site at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC (potential for light telework). Responsibilities
Provide analytic and management analysis support to undersea platform acquisition activities, focusing on development and execution of digital modernization plans for the Columbia-class SSBN. Be part of the Columbia-Class Logistics and Sustainment team within the Columbia-Class Program Office (PMS397). Identify and mitigate obsolete parts or systems prior to pull-through to the Columbia-class to ensure accurate failure rates for the life of the ship. Prepare accurate provisioning schedules to identify availability ahead of time and resource accordingly. Collaborate with multiple DoD and TEAM SUBMARINE teams to plan for integration of Columbia-class hulls and crews into the fleet. Execute MILCON efforts to ensure hulls and crews have access to shore power, facilities, housing, force protection, berths, moorings, and other resources while pier side. Explore digital sustainment opportunities to implement predictive maintenance and increase operational availability for the life of the ship. Compensation and benefits

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical field 3+ years in program analysis, preferably on DoD acquisition programs Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and representation in engineering or project management; proficient in Word and PowerPoint to communicate to decision makers Current DoD security clearance - minimum Secret, with the ability to maintain it throughout employment Desired Qualifications: Experience working on submarine or undersea related programs Experience with digital modernization processes Seniority level
