Your impact includes acting as an owner’s representative on Federal projects and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team. Base pay range
$150,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Act as a consultant in the establishment of design standards and criteria for construction projects. Provide on-site field survey measurements and verification including documentation of space, equipment, workflow, required adjacencies, communication and organizational requirements. Provide recommendations based on observations. Prepare stacking plans to accommodate functionality and adjacency requirements. Prepare blocking plans, schematic or conceptual designs, and design intent drawings in AutoCAD. Ensure drawings comply with Program of Requirements (POR), Campus Design Guides and Construction Standards. Perform design reviews and submit comments in required format. Manage design of projects throughout the project, from programming to post-occupancy, including building and maintaining relationships with end users, local team, subject matter experts, etc. Perform construction administration duties, such as reviewing and answering RFIs, reviewing submittals, producing field reports, site visits to verify construction with drawings and POR requirements, and participating in punch-list creation and closeout. Maintain knowledge on recent versions of the International Building Code and Commentary (IBC), the UFAS, and relevant federal accessibility standards. Collaborate and assist in resolving critical and possibly controversial issues with a multi-disciplined team of architects, engineers, and federal agency clients. Qualifications
An active Secret Security Clearance is a requirement for this position; Top Secret is preferred. US Citizenship. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from NAAB-accredited college or university. Architectural license is preferred. Minimum ten (10) years of related experience and/or training in architecture, construction, engineering, design, facilities management, real estate management, etc; 20 years is preferable. PMP (US and/or Canada) and LEED AP preferred. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents; respond effectively to sensitive issues; and write reports using distinctive style. Ability to present complex topics persuasively to employees, clients, and management. Ability to motivate and negotiate with key stakeholders to take action. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to read and understand architectural drawings; proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit. Relevant experience in architectural design and construction phases; knowledge of workspace design focused on occupant well-being. Knowledge of MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices; capable of setting department deadlines. Additional information
