Principal Product Manager - Shared Services, Remote Pulumi is realizing the vision of cloud engineering: building tools and services that enable every developer to program the cloud using the tools and practices they already know. We lead with an open source platform and offer a SaaS product that helps teams collaborate. Pulumi serves customers across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Datadog, GitHub, Auth0, Rancher, and more. Pulumi is headquartered in Seattle, WA. This role can be in Seattle or remote.
About the Role and Team
We’re looking for a highly technical Product Manager to define and orchestrate the core of our Pulumi SaaS product. As our Shared Services PM, you will own areas of business and technical complexity such as user and organization management, authentication, and authorization. You will help define strategy and requirements for Pulumi Copilot, our AI offering in preview. You will work with a mature user base, upgrading the user experience to be delightful and extending capabilities to serve enterprise needs. You will combine knowledge of cloud and developer technologies with an understanding of our developer and ops customers, acting as the voice of the customer when working with engineering. You’ll solicit feedback, define, prioritize, and ship features that delight users and advance the vision of cloud engineering.
Responsibilities
Partner with the CEO and GMs to define the product vision for the Pulumi shared services product and manage the roadmap to deliver that vision Work closely with engineering managers to deliver steady progress while balancing engineering and tech debt Build a deep understanding of Pulumi’s customers and their unmet needs Collaborate with UX design and engineering to deliver innovative solutions Own features from idea to adoption, coordinating with marketing, customer success, sales, and the community to ensure adoption Turn data into insights to inform decisions Define input and output metrics and create a feedback loop into the product roadmap
Qualifications
8+ years of engineering, product management, program management, or equivalent experience Strong technical abilities and a track record of solving complex, ambiguous technical problems Experience building inclusive teams Clear written and verbal communication
Nice to have
Experience delivering software for enterprise users Experience with subscription services, user management (SCIM, SAML, SSO), and/or AI Experience collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Support Experience contributing to open source or managing an open-source community Ability to immerse into a new area, analyze data, and build a strong point of view
Compensation
Base Salary Hiring Range: $180,500 to $227,850 All full-time offers include base salary, bonus/variable, equity, and benefits
