Posting Number: PG195411TM Position Number: 06RLW1 Position Type: Temporary The Temporary Proposal Assistant will assist each member of the Agriculture, Health, and Life Sciences (AHL) team with the following activities: Work with proposal teams to develop project budgets Assist AHL Team Members with reviewing, editing, and formatting proposal documents Collect information and documents per proposal requirements Assist with the development of non-technical proposal documents Assist with uploading proposal components into both NC State and sponsor systems Communicate with faculty and college research offices to facilitate proposal submissions Attend non-revenue generating sporting events for free Attain Work-life balance with our childcare discounts, wellness and recreation membership, and wellness programs that aim to build a thriving wolfpack community. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, overtime as required to meet deadlines. Other Work/Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation of AHL team presentation materials Engage in team meetings with faculty and PDU colleagues Ability to occasionally work early mornings or evenings to meet project needs Bachelors degree in a related field preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment to meet shared deadlines and objectives Strong attention to detail Strong organizational skills Ability to prioritize multiple, complex projects Ability to work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education Demonstrated expertise in developing budgets for federal grant proposals Experience editing both technical and non-technical components of research proposals Familiarity with federal science granting agencies (e.g., NIH, NSF, USDA) and their policies, procedures, and submission systems NC State University is an equal opportunity employer.
