We are seeking an experienced Atlassian (Jira/Jira Service Management/Confluence) Engineer for the DecSecOps Collaboration and Enablement team. The role is both strategic and technical, focusing on supporting and transforming collaboration tools and processes. In this role you will apply your expertise to govern and provide support solutions for all aspects of our Atlassian product suite, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders daily. Whether balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders or supporting more senior staff on complex projects, you use data and analysis and apply your experience, judgment, and risk mindset across your responsibilities. Job Responsibilities
Administer, develop and support our Atlassian Data Center (JIRA, Confluence) instances. Gather requirements for business processes and determine ways to optimize/improve JIRA setup and workflows, as well as identify where functionality can/cannot meet user requests. Define and manage the product roadmap, backlog, vendor relationships, feature adoption and implementation strategy for Atlassian tools. Own and manage internal support team requirements (Identity and Access Management, Third-Party Management, Enterprise Security). Create and maintain our golden/standard project schemes, Jira based reports, dashboards, and planning views based on different user requirements and provide stakeholders with actionable metrics and status reports. Create and maintain build integrations with other systems (e.g, GitHub Enterprise, ServiceNow). Evaluate current systems architecture and recommend scalable, cost-effective improvements. Capture and evangelize tips/best practices for MUFG to make the most effective use of Atlassian tools. Create, maintain and provide training to users. Ensure optimum performance, high availability and stability of solutions. Write and maintain custom scripts using Adaptavist ScriptRunner and Groovy to automate processes within Jira. Qualifications
5+ years of proven expertise in administering Atlassian (Jira and Confluence) and engineering lifecycle management tools. Not to be confused with Project-level administration. Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) certifications, including "Jira Administration for Data Center," "Jira Administrator for Cloud," or "Atlassian Cloud Organization Admin," are preferred qualifications. Demonstrates ability to prioritize initiatives, foster collaboration between departments and drive initiatives to completion through accountability. Detail-oriented mindset with a track record of identifying opportunities for improvement in existing processes and business practices. Experience migrating from Jira Data Center to Jira Cloud Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC processes. Possesses excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights. 5+ years of experience in a highly regulated environment (e.g., financial, government, healthcare, etc.) Experience implementing and maintaining RESTful APIs and experience with API integrations to/from Atlassian products. Familiar with DevOps toolchain, i.e. Jenkins Pipeline, Artifactory or Nexus, and experienced in automate and deploy n-tier application stack in cloud native environments. Familiar with reporting tools such as Power BI. Able to comfortably handle more simultaneous customer requests than most. Demonstrate good understanding of modern, cloud-native application models and patterns. Interest in adapting new technologies to continuously improve processes & tools. Excellent collaboration skills and a passion for problem solving, with the ability to work alternative coverage schedules. Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills required due to the dynamic nature of collaboration with leadership, customers, and other engineering teams. Experience in creating end-to-end data pipelines as well as CI/CD pipelines for applications delivery. Able to research and learn new methodologies and technologies and bring knowledge to the team. Ready, willing, and able to pick up new technologies and pitch in on story tasks (design, code, test, CI/CD, deploy, etc.) Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience Visa sponsorship/support is based on business needs. The typical base pay range for this role is between $143K - $182K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
