Strategic Recruitment & Talent Advisement Leader

We are actively seeking Claims Attorneys located in Houston, TX with the following qualifications: 1-7 years of legal experience, preferably in insurance defense, claims litigation, or personal injury. Deep understanding of insurance law, civil procedure, and claims handling practices. Strong negotiation, litigation, and communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally. Willingness to support hybrid and/or onsite role in Houston, TX-based office. JD Degree from an accredited institution. Active bar license in good standing in the state of Texas. Epiq Counsel partners with industry-leading clients in support of their sophisticated interim talent needs. Must be interested in practicing in an alternative, fixed-term legal services model. Support our Fortune 500 corporate clients on the following: Dynamic project work that varies in length and is conducted remotely or hybrid depending on client needs. Analyze and advise on complex insurance claims, including coverage evaluation, liability, damages, and settlement strategy. Manage litigation files from start to finishdrafting pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements. Represent clients in mediations, depositions, arbitrations, and court proceedings. Partner with claims adjusters and internal teams to ensure compliance with insurance regulations and company policies. Develop and execute resolution strategies that minimize risk and litigation costs. Negotiate directly with claimants, opposing counsel, and third parties. Maintain thorough documentation and timely reporting across all assigned cases. Compensation commensurate with experience and complexity of engagement. 401(k) with company match.
