Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Azure & AI Platform Architect

with deep hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure, enterprise data architectures, and AI/ML platforms. This role requires both technical leadership and the ability to execute complex designs in a hybrid enterprise environment. Base pay range

$60.00/hr - $65.00/hr Responsibilities Azure Platform Management: Design, implement, and administer Azure services including Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Cosmos DB, Function Apps, SQL Database, ADLS Gen2, and Azure Fabric. Data & Microservices Architecture: Build and optimize cloud-based data lakes and microservices with robust performance monitoring, alerting, and lifecycle management. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform to support CI/CD pipelines. AI/ML Platform Architecture: Design and deploy AI platforms supporting machine learning, deep learning, and data science workflows; evaluate and integrate AI tools/frameworks for enterprise scalability. Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure secure, compliant deployments. Governance & Resilience: Lead enterprise governance initiatives, ensuring SLA compliance, backup, disaster recovery, and proactive monitoring.

Primary Skills

Hands-on Azure administration, particularly with Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, Cosmos DB, Function Apps, SQL DB, ADLS Gen2, and Git. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or similar). Strong coding skills in Python or Scala; scripting in PowerShell or Bash preferred. Expertise in data architecture, APIs, and microservices design. Experience with version control (Git) and infrastructure testing. Solid understanding of AI/ML platform architectures and frameworks.

Secondary / Nice-to-Have Skills

Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Power BI, APIM, Logic Apps, and AI/ML tooling. Knowledge of data governance, platform monitoring, disaster recovery, and scalability optimization.
