Estimator Civil Site Development

Onsite at either Huntsville, AL or Scottsboro, AL $90,000 $130,000 (DOE) Seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in civil site development to join a well-established and growing construction firm in the Huntsville/Scottsboro market. This role focuses exclusively on estimating working on a wide range of residential, commercial, and government projects, from subdivisions and multifamily developments to large-scale site packages exceeding $10M. As part of a close-knit estimating team, you'll play a key role in driving growth by producing competitive, accurate bids that win work in one of the fastest-growing construction markets in the Southeast. What You'll Do Prepare bids for projects ranging from $3M to $15M, with occasional projects up to $11M+ and smaller jobs to keep crews engaged. Manage a high volume of bids annually ($300M$400M worth of proposals, supporting ~$40M in awarded contracts). Perform detailed takeoffs, cost analysis, and bid packages for civil site development projects. Leverage HCSS HeavyBid (or similar estimating software) to prepare and submit bids. Stay engaged with market trends, project leads, and competitive opportunities in the Huntsville area's booming construction market. Collaborate with the General Manager, Operations leadership, and fellow estimators to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and competitiveness. What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience as an Estimator in civil site development (10+ years preferred) Strong background in sitework and civil projects (residential subdivisions, multifamily, commercial, or government). Pre-existing market knowledge and connections in the Huntsville construction industry. Proven ability to manage multiple bids and deliver accurate, competitive estimates under deadlines. Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid or similar estimating tools. Candidates without civil/site development experience will not be considered.
