As a Software engineer specialising in automation, you will work on test automation and networking protocols. You will help validate complex systems at Layer 1 and Layer 2 using tools like Ixia and build Python based frameworks. Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and execute automated test cases in Python. Perform functional, regression, and performance testing on Layer 1 and Layer network systems. Validate hardware and software integration with optical interfaces and network switches. Configure and use traffic generators (e.g., IXIA) to simulate network environments and evaluate performance. Collaborate with developers and hardware engineers to identify, reproduce, and resolve defects. Document test cases, results, and defects in test management tools. Maintain code and test assets in version control systems (GitHub or Bitbucket). Continuously improve test frameworks and methodologies. Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field. 48 years of hands-on experience in software testing and test automation. Strong proficiency in Python for test automation. Good understanding of Layer 1 and Layer 2 networking protocols. Experience with optical testing, network switches, and traffic generators like IXIA. Ability to debug issues in complex networking environments. Experience with Jenkins or ArgoCD and other CI/CD tools. Familiarity with Shell scripting for automation and environment setup. Exposure to C# for UI validation or tool development is a plus. What we offer
