General Summary of Position
Provides secretarial and administrative support to a Senior Vice President or Vice President. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains calendar and appointment schedule for the Senior Vice President or Vice President. Performs secretarial duties, prepares correspondence through dictation, composes written material, including letters or memo, using a word processor and/or typewriter, and proofreads material. Handles, screens and prioritizes all telephone calls and correspondence directed to the supervisor. Lists, dates, and catalogs incoming and outgoing mail. Provides assistance and direction to callers, visitors and staff as required. Organizes, schedules and confirms meetings. Reserves conference rooms and equipment, selects and orders refreshments/meals, and composes meeting notices and correspondence. Ensures timely distribution of correspondence. Maintains and updates policy/procedure manuals. Prepares payment vouchers for goods and services received by the department. Purchases and maintains supplies and inventory for the department. Coordinates repair and/or replacement of broken equipment. Maintains files and assures that confidential activities are handled discreetly and classified information is safeguarded. Minimum Qualifications
Education Associate's degree required or One to three years formal training in Secretarial Science required Experience 3-4 years of progressively more responsible job related experience required This position has a hiring range of $58,656 - $98,384
