Overview
The Senior Executive Project Manager is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the successful execution of solar installation projects from inception to completion. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and on budget, while fostering high-performing teams and maintaining strong client relationships. Work Environment and Schedule
Full-time position with occasional travel to project sites and client meetings. Hybrid work environment with flexibility based on project needs Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction and leadership for multiple solar projects to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. Coach, mentor, and develop a team of project managers and project engineers. Deliver regular status reports, performance metrics, and project updates to stakeholders and internal teams. Monitor and manage project budgets, forecasts, and schedules to optimize profitability and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction Project Leadership
Transition new projects from sales to execution teams with speed and clarity. Guide Project Managers and engineers in planning and executing solar installations. Evaluate team capacity and collaborate with leadership to maintain optimal staffing. Communicate project scope and expectations clearly with clients and internal teams. Technical Expertise
Demonstrate strong knowledge of solar PV systems and installation practices. Interpret and revise electrical, civil, and structural plans. Stay current on building codes, construction standards, and solar technologies. Assess financial implications of design and scope changes to ensure profitability. Project Management
Lead and develop Senior Project Managers and Project Engineers through all project phases. Identify and implement process improvements across project workflows. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure quality and timeliness. Collaborate with leadership to standardize project management practices across teams. Client Relationships
Negotiate and finalize contract terms to ensure fair compensation and timely project starts. Maintain strong relationships with developers, financiers, consultants, and client representatives. Ensure timely resolution of client concerns and project-related issues. Quality Assurance and Compliance
Enforce safety regulations and compliance with environmental and industry standards. Implement and monitor quality control measures to uphold project excellence. Identify project constraints and develop mitigation strategies. Address risks related to delays, budget overruns, and scope changes proactively Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s preferred). 8+ years of experience in solar project management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role. Proven track record of managing large-scale solar installations. Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems and construction practices. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
