Main Office BGCB 200 High St 3rd Fl Boston, MA 02110, USA The Associate Vice President (AVP), Recruitment & Community Engagement will lead Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston’s (BGCB’s) annual campaigns and strategic efforts to recruit new club members and staff. The AVP will engage the community, develop partnerships, and collaborate across BGCB to inspire and deepen our recruitment, learning, and community engagement efforts, including launching our Street Teams for membership campaign. Key Responsibilities

Recruitment Strategy Development & Execution

Aligned with organizational goals, strategically partner with the Chief Impact Officer/Program Impact Team to develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to annually increase the number of new club members and recruit talented staff with a strategic focus on teens. Collaborate with the Marketing & Development team to create compelling campaigns that promote recruitment opportunities through various channels, including digital, social media, print, and events. Lead targeted recruitment initiatives through developing Street Teams to execute on membership campaigns and community fairs in partnership with the Talent Acquisition Manager. Incentive-based recruitment for membership program. Partnerships & Community Engagement

Build and maintain relationships with educational, faith-based, and civic organizations such as Boston Public Schools, METCO, Nativity Prep, Head Start, day care centers parochial schools, and higher education institutions, to name a few, to foster a broad network of recruitment partners. Regularly attend city-wide events & activities – open houses, panels/meetings, community events - where recruitment tables, membership drives, and staff recruitment efforts can be leveraged. Annually develop a calendar/schedule for Street Teams to pass out club information within the community and to develop and execute presentations, lunch-and-learn sessions, and community events to engage and sign-up new members and recruit staff. Membership Recruitment & Orientation Support

Develop and monitor key metrics related to membership and staff recruitment, engagement, and retention, providing regular reports to leadership. Collaborate with Club Executive Directors, Directors of Operations and Membership Directors to ensure execution on recruitment strategies (i.e., membership drives, open houses, etc.) and seamless orientation experience for new member/parent orientation sessions. Stay up to date on best practices in membership and staff recruitment, diversity & inclusion strategies, and relationship-building efforts. Collaborate across department teams to ensure recruitment strategies align with programmatic goals and organizational objectives with expectation of collaborative work supporting direct management transitions and responsibilities over time. Partner with the Marketing & Development team to establish and implement inspiring and innovative recruitment campaigns. Collaborate with the Learning & Development team and Program Impact teams to develop a first-year Youth Development Program certification track in alignment with the BGCB Youth Development Training Academy. Teaching youth/teens the importance of living an active, healthy lifestyle is a BGCB priority. As a result, all staff is expected to model healthy behavior while working with our members. Bachelor’s degree in community development, nonprofit management, human resources, or a related field. A minimum of ten years’ management and leadership experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Experience managing direct reports and working collaboratively across departments. Strong interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with school leaders, community leaders, and other key stakeholders. Ability to work with youth and families from a variety of backgrounds. Experience managing direct reports and working collaboratively across departments. Basic computer skills including data management, MS Office and web competency. Must be or become certified in the member data system software, Kids Tracks. Must be or become CPR/First-Aid certified. Flexibility to work clubhouse hours especially as seasons and service needs change. Familiarity with the Greater Boston and Chelsea areas and a passion for community development. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS/CRM systems; experience with UKG, Salesforce or similar platforms is a plus.
