Manager, Enterprise Strategy, (HYBRID, WA) role at Nordstrom. This position is offered as a hybrid role in the Seattle, WA area. You must be willing to work in the Nordstrom Seattle office a minimum of 4 days/week to be considered for this position. Responsibilities
Lead high‑impact projects supporting the Executive Team and operational leaders across the enterprise, driving Nordstrom’s long‑term growth ambition. Enterprise Strategy: develop core strategy including long‑term planning, identify major growth vectors, and translate strategy into a multi‑year delivery roadmap in partnership with business owners. Business Development: identify external opportunities to contribute to long‑term ambition, such as partnerships and investments. Market & Competitive Intelligence: measure, understand, and educate the enterprise on market trends, market share opportunities, and changes in the competitive landscape. Enterprise Activation: support the CEO and delegates on special projects as part of the office of the CEO. A day in the life... Build trust and collaboration with senior leaders to understand deliverables, actions, and decisions for which they are accountable. Frame hard, ambiguous problems with a rigorous, hypothesis‑led, data‑informed approach. Use strong analytical skills to uncover insights and opportunities for unlocking business value. Synthesize complex inputs into clear, compelling stories to facilitate commercial decision‑making and action‑taking in verbal and written form. Identify and pursue sources of enterprise value creation in partnership with Strategy directors, SVP of Strategy, Executive Team, and operational leaders. Manage project teams (Assoc & Sr Assoc level talent) and contribute as an emerging leader for the team. Demonstrate enterprise thinking by balancing function‑specific goals with broader company strategy and influence change beyond formal authority. Translate strategic direction into clear execution plans and operating rhythms, ensuring accountability and momentum across teams. MBA or equivalent experience with 8+ years of relevant work, including in strategy, management, consulting, investment banking and/or the retail industry. A strong sense of ownership and impact measured by enterprise adoption of solutions and measurable results. High intellectual curiosity with humility to learn and courage to challenge assumptions. A strategic mindset that can balance attention to detail with keeping big ideas in view.
