The Epic Trainer II is a Principal Trainer who collaborates with the training team, application coordinators, and application managers to develop and maintain the Epic EHR training program for roles within their application. This position utilizes advanced knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design to enhance the overall user experience and successful adoption of the Epic EHR system. Essential Responsibilities

Ensure all training materials are relevant and concise. Partner with EHR Trainer I to ensure all training is delivered professionally. Maintain the training environment in sync with other Epic environments. Collaborate with adoption leads, training managers, and stakeholders to develop comprehensive training strategies. Create project plans, estimate training needs, and determine the population to be trained. Develop engaging training content, including e-learning modules, lesson plans, and interactive workshops. Deliver captivating training sessions to learners. Assess and credential other trainers to ensure Epic proficiency. Keep the training environment updated. Train the team on new Epic features upon deployment. Troubleshoot issues, answer questions, and provide one-on-one coaching. Support users to ensure proficient use of Epic, embodying the motto "No User Left Behind!" Lead by example, fostering a collaborative atmosphere and supporting team initiatives. Mentor other trainers to enhance their skills. General Responsibilities

Education:

Bachelor's Degree required. Experience:

3-5 years of relevant IT or clinical experience required. Certifications:

Specific application module certification or accreditation required within 3 months of hire. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Advanced skills and experience in adult education. Flexibility in adapting training content and delivery methods. Ability to work independently, taking ownership of activities and ensuring quality and timeliness. Strong presentation skills, capable of engaging audiences and handling questions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Enthusiasm and determination to overcome obstacles. Strong analytical, organizational, and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently and in teams. Problem-solving skills and understanding of customer needs. Understanding of healthcare processes and technology. Basic clinical workflow and terminology knowledge. Knowledge of IT solutions and interfacing is a plus. Must be able to drive personal vehicle to work sites. Willingness to travel locally and out of state as needed.
