Job Summary The Lead Echocardiograph Technologist ensures quality Echocardiology testing on inpatient and outpatients for various adult and geriatric patients. Demonstrates sound knowledge of ultrasound equipment. Performs non-invasive echo procedures according to ICAEL protocols and standards. Maintains patient logs inclusive of key elements necessary for patient tracking purposes. Communicate findings to physician in a timely manner. Calls stat results to physician according to department P&P. Maintains supplies and department equipment according to department standards. Actively participates in department process for quality improvement efforts. Meets with the Medical Director of Department when requested to review patient findings when applicable. Provides staff education when requested related to department functions. Ensures that department meets standards outlined with ICAEL. What qualifications you will need: Bachelor's degree in science or equivalent education in echocardiography program, ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS), active New Hampshire State Medical Imaging/Radiation Therapy license, three years experience in performing adult echocardiography, American Heart Association BLS. Located in Derry, NH, Parkland Medical Center is a regional acute-care hospital offering 86 beds and a Level III Trauma Center. HCA Healthcare owns the facility, along with three other hospitals, two freestanding emergency rooms, an ambulatory surgery center, and an urgent care center in New Hampshire. The organization employs 2,600 colleagues and 554 physicians, provides $15.8 million in uncompensated care, and pays $43.8 million in taxes annually.
