IT Support Student Assistant in Civil Engineering (Work-Study Only)

The Fariborz Maseeh Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented undergraduate student to assist IT staff with computer related tasks. This position is open for Fall 2025 and expected to continue until the end of the Spring 2026 semester. Responsibilities: Lock/unlock computer labs on a regular schedule Assist students with basic computer questions/problems Check printers for proper operation Drop off and pick up computer equipment as needed Help IT staff with installation of Windows and applications Help with administrative tasks as needed Required Qualifications

Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows 11 operating system. Students with a work study award for Fall 2025. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with the installation and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows operating systems, business applications and engineering specific applications Salary Range:

Undergraduate Student Technician: $14.00 per hour Working Conditions:

Work is performed in standard office conditions Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation Use of manual dexterity Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds may be required Work Shift: Up to 15 hours per week; work schedule within Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. Required Materials
