Job Summary: Under the direction of the supervisor, this position must perform all functions related to a minimum of two modalities: CT or MRI or serve the Hybrid OR in addition to general Radiology Technologist duties. Performs high quality procedures that require ingenuity, initiative and independent judgment. This position may require providing technical and imaging support at any HonorHealth facility in the network. Technologist must routinely perform procedures in these modalities. Must perform all functions related to a minimum of two of the following modalities: Radiology, CT or MRI or serve the Hybrid OR in addition to general Radiology Technologist duties. Assists physician in a variety of procedures within specified guidelines, demonstrates proficiency, and ensures procedures are conducted within timeframes as ordered. Assists physicians with procedures as needed. Obtains accurate and pertinent clinical and patient history within specified guidelines. Answers patient questions and explains procedures. Operates equipment within specifications and ensures image quality. Obtains and evaluates images for technical quality assurance factors including image laterality marking and annotation as required by procedure protocols. Utilizes RIS, PACS and other image management systems as needed. Plans, schedules, and coordinates daily workflow for the departments activities. Maintains equipment in efficient operating order. Performs and documents quality control testing. Rotates throughout the department as staffing and volume dictates. Participates in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff. Maintains a clean, safe environment and manages stock and inventory. Performs other duties as assigned. Education
Associate's Degree - Preferred High School Diploma or GED - Required Experience
>10 months clinical CT, MRI, Hybrid OR or one year general radiology experience - Required 2 years experience in two or more modalities - Preferred Licenses and Certifications
ARRT Current and valid; Completion of an ARRT accredited Radiology General Procedures program or US military Radiology General Procedures training program - Required Basic Life Support (BLS) Current and valid - Required Current and valid CT or MR license - Preferred Radiology Tech (ARRT) License Current and valid Registered Technologist (RT) license - Required National certification in specialty field (ARRT, ARMRIT, ARRT-MR, ARRT-CT) - Required Seniority level
