AWS Greengrass and IoT Core Engineer

Overview Location: Brea, California. Onsite work only. This is a long-term contract position. Strong profile in Greengrass with Core IoT is required. Responsibilities

Design and implement edge computing solutions using AWS Greengrass v2. Integrate AWS IoT Core for secure device connectivity, telemetry ingestion, and rule-based data routing. Develop and deploy Lambda functions and containerized applications on edge devices. Collaborate with embedded systems teams to ensure seamless integration with hardware. Implement secure communication protocols (MQTT, TLS) and manage device authentication and authorization. Monitor and troubleshoot IoT device fleets using AWS IoT Device Management and CloudWatch. Optimize data flow between edge and cloud for latency-sensitive applications. Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and system testing. Qualifications

Experience: 7 to 10 years (relevant). Must have AWS Greengrass and IoT Core experience. Proficiency in Java, Node.js, and GoLang for edge application development; experience with Lambda. Hands-on experience with AWS Greengrass, AWS IoT Core, and Lambda. Design and development of edge applications using Java, Node.js/GoLang. Knowledge of secure communication protocols (MQTT, TLS) and device authentication/authorization. Experience with embedded systems collaboration and hardware integration. Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Aerospace domain experience is highly preferred but not mandatory. Location: Brea, California.
