Director, Creative Advertising
The Director, Creative Advertising is responsible for managing the creation and execution of compelling audio/visual advertising campaigns. This role requires a creative leader with a strong understanding of both traditional and digital advertising landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of producing high-quality trailers, TV spots, online ads, and other audiovisual content that resonates with diverse audiences. They will work closely with the Head of Creative Advertising, senior management, filmmakers, and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of impactful campaigns that drive brand awareness and engagement. Responsibilities: Creative Execution:
Manage the conceptualization, development, and execution of all audio/visual advertising campaigns, including trailers, TV spots, online ads, viral videos, and clips for publicity and online use.
Strategic Support:
Assist in developing and implementing strategic plans for audio/visual creative content that align with the overall marketing strategy and business objectives set by the Head of Creative Advertising.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the Head of Creative Advertising, senior management, filmmakers, and cross-functional teams, including publicity, the digital team, and media planning, to ensure cohesive creative campaign execution.
Vendor Coordination:
Coordinate with outside creative vendors for audio/visual content, ensuring they meet the strategic and creative needs of the campaigns, while providing recommendations to the Head of Creative Advertising for final approval.
Performance Review:
Collaborate with the analytics team to review the success of audio/visual campaigns and provide insights to optimize future campaigns.
Presentation Skills:
Assist in presenting audio/visual campaigns to key Searchlight executives, filmmakers, artists, and other Disney divisions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior creative team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Provide guidance and constructive feedback to team members, helping them achieve their individual and collective goals.
Experience & Qualifications: Experience:
10+ years of experience in creative advertising with a focus on audio/visual content at either a studio or creative agency. Awards campaign experience preferred. Previous experience working with streaming studios is a plus.
Education:
A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, public relations, or a related discipline preferred.
Industry Knowledge:
Strong understanding of current theatrical and digital advertising trends, formats, and influences.
Leadership Skills:
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Communication Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to communicate effectively and present campaigns to management and filmmakers.
Analytical Skills:
Facility with analyzing the effectiveness of audio/visual creative advertising.
The hiring range for this position in California is $137,200.00 to $183,900.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
