Senior Buyer Procurement/Avionics role supporting aerospace procurement for avionics systems, construction, and facilities projects. Manages supplier relationships, contract negotiations, compliance, and procurement strategies to ensure timely delivery and best-value sourcing for mission-critical aerospace hardware and services. Location: Kent, WA Onsite flexibility: Onsite Responsibilities
Execute day-to-day procurement activities for construction and facilities projects. Develop and manage strategic suppliers and contractors. Evaluate current procurement processes and recommend improvements. Collaborate with project leads to select suppliers, prepare
RFP/RFQ packages , and award contracts. Perform price and cost analysis for bids and proposals. Issue and manage fixed price and cost-type contracts. Ensure procurement activities comply with established standards and regulations. Prepare purchase orders and change orders using Costpoint and Coupa systems. Negotiate and execute supplier documentation (terms, conditions, NDAs). Support order management, backlog monitoring, and risk mitigation. Conduct supplier performance reviews and implement improvement plans. Serve as escalation point for purchasing, invoicing, or performance issues. Provide support in weekly project planning/status meetings. Travel occasionally to meet with suppliers or project teams. Required Experience
Proven experience in procurement and supplier management. Understanding of avionics systems and components (hardware/software, EEE, PCBs, LRUs, harnesses, sensors, testing services). Strong knowledge of cost analysis, cost-type contracting, and price evaluation. 35+ years working in a fast-paced aerospace or defense procurement environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams). Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or lawful refugee/asylee. Nice-to-Have Experience
Construction and facilities procurement. Public purchasing and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Experience with Costpoint, Coupa, and JIRA Atlassian. Aerospace or defense procurement background. Required Skills
