About This Role
The Manager of Business Development Finance will report to the Head of Business Development Finance and serve as a key support role in the economic and structural assessments of in-licensing, collaboration, and M&A opportunities. Candidates must have a proven background of analytical excellence, a strong work ethic, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment and within a cross-functional team. What Youll Do
Contribute to the development of comprehensive financial models and analyses to evaluate business opportunities, which may include building new models from scratch or reviewing models already built
Support the collection of inputs from Corporate Strategy, R&D, POT (Manufacturing), Accounting and other functions
Foster an environment of high collaboration with business constituents
Monitor landscape of business development deals and trends across the industry, and build and maintain database of deals
Assist with due diligence activities in support of various business development initiatives
Identify and analyze risk and opportunity considerations and potential impact on valuation and returns
Perform frequent and complex ad hoc analytical assignments
Assist in the preparation of memos and presentations for senior leadership review
Drive process improvements to enhance automation and accuracy across models

5+ years of experience, ideally in investment banking, management consulting, or another Pharma/Biotech company
Distinctive quantitative and modeling skills
Practical knowledge of financial theory and valuation methodologies
Strong oral, presentation, and written communication skills
Ability to navigate and influence in a matrixed organizational structure
Attention to detail, yet ability to maintain an 80/20 mindset
Excellent learning agility
Comfort with ambiguity
Ability to work under pressure and within short time constraints
High sense of urgency with ability to meet tight deadlines and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
Preferred Skills
MBA preferred
Knowledge of drug development and life sciences is strongly preferred
Experience with Hyperion
Additional Information
The base compensation range for this role is: $106,000.00-$142,000.00 Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity. Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.
