As a
General Manager (GM)
at Mercor, you will own a business vertical end-to-end, combining strategic leadership with operational excellence. Building on the foundation of Strategic Project Leads (SPLs), Senior SPLs, and Principal SPLs, you will scale impact beyond individual projects by leading multiple high-value accounts, overseeing teams of SPLs, and driving long-term partnerships with the world’s top AI labs and technology companies. General Managers are responsible for generating tens of millions of dollars in revenue, developing scalable operational playbooks, and serving as the connective tissue between Mercor’s customers, internal teams, and strategic direction. You will report directly to Mercor’s executive leadership (President or COO) and will serve as a key driver of Mercor’s growth trajectory. Key Responsibilities
Revenue Ownership : Drive $25M to $100M in annual revenue by overseeing multiple large-scale projects and client accounts.
Team Leadership : Manage, coach, and scale a team of SPLs/Senior SPLs/ to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
Strategic Client Relationships : Develop and expand multi-year partnerships with executives and researchers at leading AI labs and tech companies, ensuring every detail is managed to perfection.
Operational Excellence : Create scalable processes, playbooks, and best practices for project execution, expert management, and client delivery. This will require a sharp eye for detail and the ability to execute with a high level of rigor.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with Engineering, Machine Learning, and Operations leadership to refine product features and operational infrastructure.
Market & Growth Strategy : Identify new areas for expansion, drive business development initiatives, and ensure Mercor stays ahead of client needs and industry trends.
Executive Reporting : Provide data-driven insights to Mercor’s executive team, highlighting risks, opportunities, and long-term growth strategies.
What Are We Looking For?
8-12+ years of experience in consulting, finance, startups, or high-growth technology environments.
Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth ($20M+ owned or influenced).
Exceptional leadership skills with experience building and managing high-performance teams.
Strong analytical, strategic, and communication abilities, with a focus on structured problem-solving.
Demonstrated ability to foster and expand executive-level client relationships.
A "10x" operator with a fanatical attention to detail and a bias toward action. You must be comfortable with the intensity of an ultra-high-growth environment
