Corporate Development leads transactions for the world’s largest electric utility and world leader in renewable energy – NextEra Energy. The group is responsible for engaging with the investment banks and counterparties during the deal process in order to negotiate terms and structure deals for mergers or acquisitions. Corporate Development also works on corporate strategy presentations for executive leadership in conjunction with the subject matter experts around the company. In this position you lead evaluation and execution of M&A opportunities, including coordination of external financial analysis and internal diligence teams. Job Overview

Employees in this position will lead the company’s M&A activities, overseeing deal sourcing, execution, and strategic initiatives that support business growth and transformation. Job Duties & Responsibilities

Define and execute the company’s M&A and corporate development strategy Lead cross-functional teams in executing complex transactions Manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including investment banks, legal advisors, and regulators Provide strategic insights and recommendations to executive leadership Oversee post-merger integration strategies to maximize deal value Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications

Bachelor\'s - Finance, Economics or Related Field Experience: 8-10 years in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development in the energy/utilities industry OR 7+ years with advanced degree Proven track record of leading transactions and strategic initiatives Extensive experience in M&A strategy, transaction execution, and regulatory navigation Strong analytical and financial modeling skills Preferred Qualifications
